Dry Film Preservative - Specification :
- Composition - Blend of Octyl Isothiazoline one, Methyl Benzimidazol-2-yl Carbamate and a Urea derivative
- Appearance - Flowable Dispersion
- Colour - Off White to Light Brown
- pH 5% at 28ºC - 6.00-9.00
- Specific Gravity at 28ºC - 1.000-1.200
- % Total Solids - 28-32%
Field of Application:
This product is recommended as a superb synergistic blend of selected stable dry film preservative to render microbiological protection to most interior and exterior coatings including paints, textured coatings, adhesives, sealants. It is required to be added in the range of 0.5 to 2.0% w/w to protect coated dry film against fungal and algal attack.
Dry Film Preservative - Specification :
- Composition - Mixture of two isothiazoline
- 5-Chloro-2-Methyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one (1.05 to 1.15%)
- 2-Methyl-4-Isothiazoline-3-one (0.35 to 0.45%)
- Appearance - Clear to slightly hazy liquid
- Colour - Pale yellow
- Odour - Mild
- pH 5% at 28ºC - 2.5-5.5
- Specific Gravity at 28ºC - 1.01-1.06
- Solubility in Water - Freely Soluble
- Solubility in other Solvents - Miscible in most lower alcohols & Glycols
